OUR HEARTBEAT
Volunteers are the heartbeat of First Step Pregnancy Resource Center! They are our most valuable resource.
Our client advocates, sonographers, and receptionists are required to complete 10 -20 hours of training and undergo several weeks of orientation before seeing clients one-on-one.
IN-CENTER VOLUNTEERS
Medical:
Sonographers
Nurse volunteers who perform limited OB ultrasounds. Sonographers must be an RN with a current/active license or a licensed RDMS.
Medical Providers & Nurses
Providers for the Abortion Pill Recovery Program (MD, DO, PA, NP, CNM, RN).
STI Clinic
Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Registered Nurse assisting in the weekly clinic.
Mentors:
Men & Women Volunteers needed to work with our moms & dads! We provide training as well as a curriculum to follow on baby care, pregnancy, birth, etc., for our parenting clients. The goal of the mentor is to walk with them on their journey.
Recovery:
Abortion Recovery
Facilitate Biblical healing through our post-abortion Bible study. Miscarriage Recovery Facilitate Biblical healing through our pregnancy loss Bible study.
Facility Needs:
Baby Boutique Volunteer
Sort donations of baby clothing.
Cleaning
Weekly cleaning volunteers are needed to help us be good stewards of our facility. If you want to help, but can only do monthly, that's ok! Reach out to us!
First Step Pregnancy Resource Center volunteers are highly committed, compassionate people who make a big difference in the lives of our clients. A typical time commitment involves a weekly four-hour shift. Because we are committed to upholding a high level of care for the women who come to us, all potential volunteers undergo a screening and interview process.
