Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heartbeat of First Step Pregnancy Resource Center! They are our most valuable resource.

Our client advocates, sonographers, and receptionists are required to complete 10 -20 hours of training and undergo several weeks of orientation before seeing clients one-on-one.

Medical: ​

• Ultrasound
  Ultrasounds are performed by licensed RDMS ir kucebsed RNs who are trained in limited OB Ultrasounds.
  
• Medical Providers & Nurses
  Providers for the Abortion Pill Recovery Program (MD, DO, PA, NP, CNM, RN).
• STI Clinic
  Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Registered Nurse assisting in the weekly clinic. ​

Office & Facility:

• Parenting Mentors:
  Men & Women Volunteers needed to work with our moms & dads! We provide training as well as a curriculum to follow on baby care, pregnancy, birth, etc., for our parenting clients. The goal of the mentor is to walk with them on their journey. ​​
• Facilitation:
  Abortion Recovery
  Facilitate Biblical healing through our post-abortion Bible study.
  Reproductive Loss Recovery
  Facilitate Biblical healing through our reproductive loss Bible study. ​
  
• Baby Boutique Volunteer
  Sort donations of baby clothing.
• Outreach Volunteer
  Volunteer with our Community Action Director to engage the community through outreach efforts. Needs will vary from manning a First Step table to posting flyers around college campuses & the community. 
• Cleaning
  Weekly cleaning volunteers are needed to help us be good stewards of our facility. If you want to help, but can only do monthly, that's ok! Reach out to us!

First Step Pregnancy Resource Center volunteers are highly committed, compassionate people who make a big difference in the lives of our clients. A typical time commitment involves a weekly four-hour shift. Because we are committed to upholding a high level of care for the women who come to us, all potential volunteers undergo a screening and interview process.

Church Ambassador

A church ambassador is the go between for First Step & the church! You help us connect with your church leaders, facilitate baby bottle campaigns, or promote events throughout the year. This partnership is such a vital role to building relationships with the body of Christ.
